Ken and Roni DiLullo Invention
|
Ken and Roni DiLullo came up with the idea for dog's sunglasses designed
specifically for dogs after noticing that their dog, Midnight, was always
squinting under the sun. In 1997 the family opened their own company,
Midknight Creations LLC, and started selling Doggles (dog sunglasses) for $21.95.
Since then, veterinarians have taken notice and begun prescribing Doggles for dogs
with a wide array of vision problems, particularly extreme light sensitivity.
Dogs recently deployed to Iraq have been outfitted with the fashionable eyewear and
reportedly enjoy the relief from blowing sand and bright sun. By 2005 company's profit
was about staggering $1.5 million.
